Seeking Unity in Relationship with God and Each other
Who are we?
We are a community of students and leaders who desire to grow in our faith, connect in authentic relationships, and serve others.
SURGE is a place where all students grades 6-12 can come to have fun and get to know other awesome people.
What do we believe?
We believe every student is called to experience a vibrant and unique relationship with God. No relationship looks the same and our goal is to help each student see and understand where God is moving in their life.
We believe every student has the right to experience healthy and life-changing relationships those around them. we believe healthy relationships with other teenagers and adults are essential to discovering an abundant life.
We believe all are welcome. Students from all denominations, backgrounds, and life experiences are celebrated and invited to join us.
We believe we are called to be authentic. We believe student ministry exists to creatively explore the questions: Who am I? How am I different? And where do I belong? This is a safe place to ask questions to be your full self.
We believe God calls us to be a source of love to the hurting. We seek to be active participants in God’s mission of justice, hope, and reconciliation of the world.
What do we do?
Sunday Night SURGE:
Every Sunday during the school year, we meet from 5-7 pm to engage in fellowship, relationships, spiritual growth, and FOOD! Students will engage in various activities with a central lesson and small group reflection. This time is focused on growing together and discovering who we are in Christ.
High School and Middle School Events:
In addition to our weekly meetings, we have regular opportunities for high school and middle school students to spend time together. These opportunities include movie night, game night, dinner out night and other events throughout the year.
Student Missions:
Whether traveling far away or someplace local, missions give us an opportunity to serve God and neighbor. Depending on the opportunity, students might serve food, do construction, or simply lend a helping hand. These experiences intentionally develop and deepen relationships between students, leaders, and God.
Summer Mission Trips include separate weeks for middle & high school students, which normally take place in July. Sunday Night SURGE also includes occasional evenings of local mission work like gleaning fields & making hundreds of sandwiches for a local shelter.
How do I get connected?
Getting connected is easy!
Come join us on Sunday night for an awesome experience. We meet from 5-7 pm in the church’s Fellowship Hall, and awesome volunteers will help you get connected!
