Mills River Life Enrichment Center

The mission of the Mills River Life Enrichment Center is to minister to the mind, body, and spirit of seniors in our churches and community by establishing a Christian-based community center offering a place for fellowship, service, and enjoyment. For weekly program line-up, call 828-808-5581.

The Mills River Life Enrichment Center (MRLEC) is a senior adult outreach ministry of Mills River United Methodist Church.

MRLEC is committed to promoting healthy aging and meeting emerging needs of the senior population. Weekly programs consist of chair exercises, blood pressure checks, magazine swaps, devotion, fellowship with others and a presentation to educate and entertain. Each program concludes with a nutritious meal.

MRLEC is having a positive impact on the senior adult population in the Mills River community. New friendship have formed, healthier lifestyles have been implemented and loneliness has been replaced with the hope and anticipation of gathering each week at MRLEC.
