The Mariano Family

As promised here is a brief description of some current needs of one or our families in Honduras.
The family is Pastor Mariano and Doris, and the their 4 children Loius, Eloina, Olga, and Christian.
Loius, Eloina and Olga are all old enough to attend their version of our High School, which they call collegio. It is basically 8 thru 11th grade.
Loius, Olga and Eloina all went to 8th grade last year.
But this year only Louis went, as the family did not have enough money to send Olga and Eloina.
What is needed for each student is:
2 sets of their uniform (pants or skirt, polo top, socks and shoes). Comes to about $100 US per student.
Books and school supplies - about $50.
Monthly tuition per student - about $5.
They will also be about 3 miles away from school when they move (next month), and each student will require approximately $1/day for transportation to and from school.

If you add it all up for the whole year, it comes to about $375 per student, which translates to about $42/month per student for the 9 months of the school year.

This is the family that was living in the little house at the front of CMCH mission property when we went down there.
Mariano was brought their to be a pastor, but they ended up making him be the guard.

This is also the family that we were sharing our house with in Honduras while we where there. There have been living in the house alone since we left. Due to budget constraints, we are having to give the house up, and so they are going to move. They have procured a house, but it needed some work. They had it mostly completed and where ready to move into it last week, but found that someone had come and stolen all the wire and lights that they had just installed. They are asking for about $200-$250 so they can replace what was stolen. They also need to replace some rotten doors and windows, and put some cement on part of the floor that is just dirt. This would be another great ministry opportunity that I would ask you and your church to pray about.
