Seeking Unity in Relationships with God and Each other. We believe SURGE represents what the youth ministry at Mills River UMC is all about. Our faith is about building relationships. It's about a growing, deepening relationship with God, and it's about building relationships with others through fellowship and service.
SURGE meets on Sunday evenings. Our monthly schedule:
1st Sunday of the Month: Community601, 6:01pm.
This is a youth-led worship service, featuring praise songs, skits, speakers, Communion, and prayer time

2nd Sunday of the Month: Labor of Love, 5-8pm.
Our middle and high school groups split up and head out into the community to participate in local service projects. Examples of places we have served include Hendersonville Rescue Mission, Bread of Life Soup Kitchen, Interfaith Assistance Ministries, various nursing homes, and more.
